Vera and OpenDNS?

Hello. Is it possible to use OpenDNS with Vera? I can’t seem to find a way to enter OpenDNS’s server addresses into the DNS field of the Internet setup section. A search of these forums didn’t turn up anything either. I really need to be able to do this, as I rely on OpenDNS for content filtering in my home. I could plug in my old router and just setup vera in bridge mode, but that’d be a last resort.

Hopefully, I’m just missing something obvious.

It’s an openWRT issue. Here is a step-by-step workaround

I have not tried it yet and have been a little hesitant as some settings such as firewall configurations have been blown away with Vera firmware upgrades despite me “saving” my settings.

I hope there will be a supported way in the Vera interface when things calm down for the developers.

Ah, ok. Thanks for the tip. I can see why that would likely get blown away on a firmware update. Those scripts probably get replaced entirely. Anyway, I’m up and running in bridge mode, so I’ll probably just leave it alone for now.

Setup → Advanced → Net&Wifi → Static assigned IP => then you’ll be able to set your dns servers. ( with space between them )
If you have an dynamic assigned IP, you’ll have to use the hack from the above link.
