Vera Alerts - Android Client version 6.10

The fix was released in 3.32

I have updated the Android app as well as the Mios app and Vera Alerts are not reaching my Droid (4.4 Kit Kat). Tried a few things like un-registering and re-registering… no workie yet.

I’m using 4.4.1 and it works. the last version had some issues… updating did not fix. I had to completely uninstall/reinstall to get it to start working.

No issues on KK here

Is Vera Alerts down? Not received any alerts since 26th May.

Reboot your phone … see if that does not clear up the problem.
If that does not work … PM me with your Vera Alerts ID.

Forgot to post… All fixed!!!

I have not used VA in a while (moved to a new home) and noticed my Google Play only shows 3.2 as the last “What’s new” - I have no idea if I’m running 3.32 or an old 3.2?

I got a new phone so the install is fresh as of a few days ago but I just set it up today.

Also, I noticed there is no way to know what version you are using inside of the app itself… maybe you can add a version number inside the Settings menu?

How do I ensure I’m running 3.32?

thanks!

This information is available (to any Android App) via the Android App Manager.
It’s on the same page where you can stop/uninstall the APP.

I stopped receiving alerts on my android device after updating from Kitkat to Lollipop. Simply going into the android client app menu and hitting unregister and then register got it working again.

I just released an updated Vera Alerts Mobile App.
This has support for receiving Pictures Alerts from UI6 and UI7.
It also adds the ability to receive Picture Alerts from multiple Veras. You will need the latest Vera Plugin for this feature.

Vera Alerts works fine for my android device (Nexus 4).
When will Vera Alert come available for IOS? I’m waiting for a few years already

Richard, thank you once again for the fixes you implemented recently. I am consistently able to download pictures and videos from my UI7 Vera 3 to my Android while deployed and on a very spotty network.

I noticed that feature requests were a bit random in this sub-forum so I am not sure how you like to receive them or if you’re done updating for a while, but I do have one small suggestion. Is it possible in the Android app to have links in the notification? My alarm notification contains emergency contact numbers, and I noticed when my girlfriend set off the alarm yesterday that those numbers don’t link to the phone app nor can I copy/paste the text in the notification.

I take requests … I will add it to the list …
I just need to decide how to encode this … Phone numbers are hard to recognize …

I just release an update to the Android App (Play) store:

It has some user requested features.

4.08 Add Support for Font Size preference
Periodically reset LAN mode

Play store has not found that update just yet for me.

Finally found and fixed the problem of corrupted data display.
This typically happened for people with a large amount of unread messages.
Where Vera Alerts was cleaning up the old messages … Android would pop-up a message about Vera Alerts not responding.
If you kill the App instead of waiting for it to finish (as most folks do, including myself) … it caused a data inconsistency problem that I did not handle.

Just released Version 6.10

6.10 - Android 6.0 Privilege handling
Support Vera Mixed case accounts (new for UI7)
Fix Deleting Sound Files
