Hello Everyone,
I have an old android phone that i would like to use with Vera Alerts so that i can put it near my door to create a siren sound when a sensor is tripped. When i try registering i get an error “Error registering with application server.” I was not sure if there is a compatibility error with older andoid operating systems or if there is an issue with it only having wifi access(or maybe im missing something obvious). I do have Vera Alerts configured on my current android and it works fine. Has anyone else experienced this issue? So far i have confirmed that the time is set correct on the phone as well as tried unregistering my other phone to verify that wasnt causing the issue. Thanks in advance for your help.
What version of Android does it run?
Version 2.2.2
I assume you did NOT try to use the same Vera Alerts registration ID.
Send me an email (listed on Vera Alerts Web Page) with the registration ID and I will look to see if I see anything in the log files …
Maybe try to power-cycle your phone.
