Vera 3 Lite and Insteon Thermostat 2441TH

Hopefully someone can help me with this issue that appears to be a compatability issue.

I just purchased a Vera 3. I connected it to my USB based Insteon modem and it was able to find my Insteon network in no time and has perfect communications. The issue came with the Insteon Thermostat. It was able to detect and add the thermostat with no problem.

The issue is it can not communicate with it. It can not read or set it. Thinking it was a communication error, I moved it to where I have another controller and swapped out the Vera connection to where the controller used to be. The previous controller had no issue communication with the Thermostat and even reading the temperature and setting the unit. Unfortunately Vera still does not effectively communicate to it. As it is able to find the thermostat relatively quickly, that furthers my suspicion that it is not a signal issue, but a compatibility.

Has anyone had any luck configuring the Insteon Thermostat 2441TH? If so, is there any pointers or any other ideas on how to resolve the issue.

FYI, built in insteon support in Vera is very basic and limited. It does not support two way communication and can be hit or miss with devices. If you are familiar with linux, you may want to have a look into altsteon that a member fba developed that fixes these limitations and offers much better support.

Does anyone know of plans if expanding Insteon capability is in the works?

As of right now probably not. Not much in updates have come for improving insteon support in vera the last few years. Have you seen my post above. That is probably your better shot.
