Using Ir extender and SQ blaster plus

Hi every one, I’m a newbie in the home automation matter, I’m exploring the options before I choose to buy the final products, here’s the situation: I’ve two contiguous rooms each one with a set of TV, home theater and satellite receiver, so here is what I need to do:

  1. Share one PS3, one asus o!play multimedia player and one PC within the 2 rooms and control them (ps3 and asus) from whatever I’m (room1 or room2)
  2. Control all devices (home theaters, TVs, satellites, Blu-ray players, etc.) from my ipad or ipod from whatever I’m in my home (kitchen, living room, etc.)

This situation only attempts the connections and equipment’s required for control all the devices by ipod or ipad, though vera lite, all the audio and video connections I have no doubt on how they must be connected.

So, I has been digging a while and this solution came to my mind: first of all buy a micasaverde vera lite, then buy one SQ blaster plus, one IR extender and one PS3IR-1000 Wireless Infra-red Adapter for PlayStation 3

a) I’ll store all my devices (both satellite receivers, both home theaters, one Blu-ray player, one PS3, one asus o!play) in one hidden and ventilated cabinet
b) I’ll install the PS3IR-1000 Wireless Infra-red Adapter for PlayStation 3 inside that cabinet for control the PS3 by IR (only for movies)
c) I’ll install only one tv with a IR transmitter and receiver in each room
d) Inside the cabinet I’ll install the IR emmiters and recievers with the SQ blaster plus

Am I correct in this scenario?
Thanks to all.

Sounds like it should all work! Have you thought about Video distribution though?

I look very seriously at video and maybe the mono price with ir 4x4
