I hadn’t tried this before the upgrade so I don’t know if the problem existed then too. That said, I am using button 1 and all i get is a hanging transmitting sign. (when pressing an unprogrammed button I get transmitting for second and then it disappears.)
To clarify, no part of the scene runs, not even the lights - the trigger doesn’t ever happen.
Are the Wayne Dalton HA07 and HA09 controllers the same as the Intermatic HA07 and HA09 controllers? On my WD HA07 I can set up a scene with Button 12 that controls multiple lights. The scene has two triggers: Button 12 activate (on) turns all the controlled lights on. Button 12 deactivated (off button) turns all the controlled lights off. I thought I would need two scenes to accomplish this, however, I was able to do it with one. Also, In my test, I set one light to off, while all other lights were set to an on state using Button 12 on. However, this light did not turn on when the Button 12 off state was pushed.
I tried the same setup using Button 9, with the same results: Pushing the off button would not turn on a light that was set to an off state by the Button 9 on button
So it appears that it is possible to use the Button 12 on button to set several objects to an on state and the off button can turn off the object turned on by Button 12. I do not know what would happen if Luup code involved, but each state of a given trigger can run its own Luup code.
I would not waste my time trying to integrate a HA09 controller with Vera. The fact that the Off button behaves as it does reduces the controller to much less functionality than expected. The HA07 is a workhorse, especially when I use it to control lights. I can control up to twelve scenes with it.
I am currently using a Vera 3 with 1.5.408 firmware. However, I also used my WD HA07 with a Vera 2 and 1.5.346 firmware.
The Off functionality is fixed, and entirely controlled by the remote: it switches off whatever devices are associated with that button, just like it does when you program it without Vera.
(Because Vera is not involved, it can only switch off devices that the remote can switch off on its own, such as switches, dimmers and appliance modules. Also, because the functionality is fixed, there is no separate scene to create.)
