USB-UIRT HTTP COMMANDS FOR IR CONTROL

I am new to MCV and have plugged a USB-UIRT into it I would like to send http commands with pronto code to the vera for it to send out IR controls for a mini split ac unit having learned the commands. What form of http command do I need to use and will vera support this out of the box.

Just a few pointers:

S_IrTransmitter1.xml defines an action called ‘SendProntoCode’, the service ID is ‘urn:micasaverde-com:serviceId:IrTransmitter1’ (see http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Luup_UPNP_Files).
