USB not mounting

Bought a new 8GB USB.
Plugged it into VeraLite.
Clicked on Logs > Store Logs on USB device > OK.
Get this “disabled|not-mounted||”.
Wait overnight … nothing’s changed.
Click “Refresh” next to USB status … nothing happens.

On a Windows 7 machine the Properties of the USB says it’s formatted FAT32.

If you search I think you will find evidence that Vera is very picky about brand and model of USB drive.

After fighting with one I had for a while, I bought a SanDisk Cruzer Fit 4GB based on a recommendation by @RexBeckett. Hasn’t ever given me a problem… http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005FYNSPK/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I am having the same problem… mine also says Disabled || Not Mounted, but for me, I find my AD2USB is also not recognized (Serial Port Configuration says no USB Serial port found). Since neither were working, I am concerned that something is literally disabled or causing an issue. However, when I plug them in and look at the logs, I see that the system recognizes them, athough I seem to end with a checksum error:

Anyone have any ideas?

I’ve tried the SanDisk Cruzer Fit 4GB and still nothing. It looks like it’s mounted when I telnet onto Vera, but always the same old message ‘disabled|not-mounted||’

Getting a bit tired of trying to get the usb logging working!

how did you go? trying to get mine working at the moment

I believe I am having same issues, but was working fine for the last year with out issues. Now i get this

Any ideas? Also I can not seam to get any other USB items to work like arudino or 10x controllers

I have also problem mounting USB memory stick to vera

UI7 says USB status: “Enabled Not mounted” .

Is there something I can do to fix this?

Try this thread, it worked for me.
