US Smoke Detector

No sample needed as they all ready make a 908.4 MHze frequency device ( see attached under specifications ) their email to me states they will ship only at a 100 units. If anyone has a small business this would be ideal as Im sure there are a feww people on this site that would fill that order…

The good news is somebody finally got around to manufacturing some with a US freq, so hopefully they’ll be generally available soon.

So the U.S. version (SF812-2) of what is (also) known as the Everspring sensor? @racarter’s note came to mind.

You probably want a sample to make sure it doesn’t come with some wonky firmware that doesn’t play nice with Vera

Any idea about the availability with respect to the shipping? Would the order need to clear customs? What’s the final cost for 100 of them with shipping?

Yes Im sure it would need to clear customs, see the attached for the other details

I’m a bit of a newbie to Vera, but … smoke detection is definitely something I want. And I won’t sue anyone if I don’t get an email. Put me down for 3 of these, if someone gets brave enough.

I would be down for at least 3 of these. It’s too bad it seems the only option is a bulk order when you can order a z-wave switch, outlet…etc to your heart’s desire.

Message from Everspring USA re Zwave Smoke Alram

Thank you for taking interest in EVSP products.

EVSP is currently in process certify smoke detector with UL for US market. However because smoke detector require minimum 6 months to be certify. We don’t have release date yet. If you want I can keep you in a loop.

As soon as I hear I will pass it along

Does anybody know if Everspring got their smoke detector approved for the US market?
Thanks
