i need help with the aeon Labs Micro illuminator/switch.
Can i use the Illuminator(dimming) on a 3 way room? (2 switchers for one lamp)
do i need 2 Illuminators in the 2 original switchers at the wall? One illuminator for each regular switcher?
I don’t have one of these but, based on the instructions, you can use it with multiple momentary contact, normally-open switches wired in parallel.
To do this you need to switch to momentary push-button external wall-switch mode by pressing the internal button six times in quick succession.
The thing that I would find worrying is that the switches operate at low voltage (3.3V). I would not want the wiring for this running close to normal house power cables as I would expect there to be the possibility of false triggers due to interference. It may be fine but I would test it carefully before ordering a bunch of them.
If it isn’t too late, take a look at the Fibaro FGD211 dimmer. This works very well with multiple momentary contact switches.
Thanks for your help,
i dont know if im stupid but i realy dont get it!!!
i got 2 regular wall switchers for one lamp!
Regular Switch 1
Regular Switch 2
DO i need 2 AEON Switchers for regular switch 1 and regular switch 2?
or i can use just one AEON SWITCH in regular switch 1?
i`ve tested with one AEON SWITCH, it works fine, but when i switch off the regular Switch 2,
the light goes off, but does not get back on if i command on the AEON SWITCHER. like if i have cutted the power!
what its this momentary push button external wall switch mode??
The fibaro products doesnt sell in US, or at least amazon.com, so it cant be shipped to BRAZIL!
thank you!
What its
It should be possible to control a single micro module with two bi-stable switches if you can connect the wiring as shown below. In this case leave the module in the default bi-stable switch mode. Note that this requires the switch wiring to be isolated from the house power. If this is not possible then the Aeon module is not suitable for this application. The Fibaro FGD211 would work, though.
what its this momentary push button external wall switch mode??
The micro module can be set to work with either bi-stable or momentary switches. By default it is set for bi-stable switches. The mode is changed by pressing the internal button six times in quick succession.
