Upgrading Vera2@1.0.996 to latest UI4 firmware

How do I upgrade a new Vera2 from 1.0.996 to the latest UI4 firmware?

Symptoms:

[ul][li]findvera.com does not detect my Vera1@1.1.1047 (as expected) and my Vera2@1.0.996 (as expected?).[/li]
[li]http://micasaverde.com/vera2 does detect my Vera1@1.1.1047 (as expected), but does not detect my Vera2@1.0.996.[/li]
[li]http access to my Vera2@1.0.996 does work.[/li][/ul]

Advanced → Download (@UI2) states:
[tt]Running Version: 1.0.996
Latest Version : 1.0.979 [/tt]
… but there is no option to upgrade the firmware to UI4.

It sounds like your Vera2 isn’t making outbound calls to MCV’s servers. It needs to do that in order to register itself with the “hook” that’s used by the micasverde.com/vera2 UI to “list” what MiOS units are on the net.

Network wise, how is Vera2 plugged into your Network, and which Eth port on the Vera2 are you using to cable it?

Ap15e, Have you registered on Mios.com?
If you already have a Mios account, try a different browser with http://micasaverde.com/vera2 to do your locate from.

Findvera.com will not find your Vera1@1.1.1047 as this is UI4 that is looking for Mios.com servers.

Hope that helps.

JOD.

Different browser, same result for micasaverde.com/vera2 (it does find my Vera1, but it doesn’t find my Vera2):

I found Vera, but it looks like you've already started setting it up. To continue setting it up or using it you can either go to your myMiOS account or connect to it directly on my network

Vera1 and Vera2 are connected to the same hub, Vera2 is connected via ETH1. I can access my Vera2 from my local network.

I suspect a database issue on MCV’s side.

The Z-Wave LED is on, but Vera seems to be unable to detect the built-in Z-Wave module (screenshot attached). I think I just got a defective unit.

This is what mine looks like in UI4.
