Upgrading from Lite/UI5 to plus/UI7 z-wave Role Master/SUC

Hi All,

I just installed my new plus set everything up and was about to perform the upgrade from Verlite (UI5) to the new plus following the steps specified by MCV (http://support.getvera.com/customer/en/portal/articles/1840699-upgrade-from-ui5-on-veralite-vera-2-or-vera-3).

On of the steps is to check your z-wave role, it should be master (Role MASTER SIS:NO PRI:YES) mine states: Role Suc SIS:NO PRI:YES

Does anyone know if this is an issue to perform the upgrade? AS MCV states: If your unit has a different role contact our tech support team, and they?ll help you resolve it asap. For more details on this check out : http://support.getvera.com/

I’ve send them an email, but not sure when I get a response, so if anyone knows this will be an issue? don’t want to screw up the upgrade…

It should be ok.
It will change during “controller shift”.
But you will have to clean up some mess in ui7.
Unavoidable.

thanks for your reply, I’m going to test it. I used the same link and plan on only migrating the zwave network, and start from scratch with the logic.

Everything worked out well indeed.

for completeness, the response from MCV:
" If the role of your Vera Lite unit is ?Suc SIS:NO PRI:YES? you can proceed with the transfer"

So after controller shift my veralite hade the slave role (Role Slave SIS:NO PRI:NO)
