After upgrading to UI7 I am getting alerts from my motion detector. I have them turned off in the devise and the dashboard. Has anyone else had this problem? I have a call into support.

Are you aware of all the problems that come with ui7 currently? With nothing gained by going to ui7 the stable solution would be to downgrade and wait for the bugs to be fixed unless your want to troubleshoot your way threw. It is getting better but ui7 has been out for a few months now and still has more bugs and non functioning Plugins that were all working before.

I attributed these to the common 4-in-1 AEON motion sensor faulting. Or perhaps it’s my Neato vacuum cleaner… who knows?
Whats the solution?

There is a lot of chatter on this topic. Turning polling off (i.e. to 0) seems to be a common suggestion. Perhaps turning down the sensitivity (never tried that since I’m the one waving arms in a dark room).
The latest thing I’m trying is to trigger a scene only when the sensor is armed, and then DISARM the sensor during the day. My cameras will have to do the motion detection :-).
Mine seems to be working but getting unwanted notifications on arm and disarm. Upgraded 4 in 1 to latest firmware.
If you are refering to email or text alerts, pay close attention to the Home modes. Look at the configuration of the Home modes. Especially look at the notifications area. There you can tag who gets alerts for each mode.
Note there is also a Home Mode App where you can toggle home modes in scenes. You can also find code that can toggle the modes.
I have scenes set to toggle to Away if my alarm system is set to Arm. I have a scene that sets the Home mode to either Home or Night depending on Night or Day, and I have scenes that change the Home mode, if needed, at daylight or night time.
Making the modes work for you means you can set when you get alerts or not much more easily.
I have exactly the same issue with my EXmotion 3-1 motion sensor. It detects motion and I receive a vera app and email notification.
The device functions correctly
The scene functions correctly
In the device there ar NO notifations set
In the scene there are NO notifications set

anyone any tips?
Check the HOUSE Modes tab …
It allows you to specify notifications for all armed sensors.
Hi Richard, I assume you mean the “Dashboard - My Modes - Home” tab/column?
"Whos hould ben notified is now for both users “off”. That means you can only disbale all notificatons?
Thanks you RTS.
You disable ALL notifications for the Dashboard House Modes.
You can then add back Individual Notifications using the Notifications tab on the individual device.
I had the same issue with the latest version 7.0.10 (1.7.649/1.7.1320) - as soon as I upgraded I was getting texts and emails non-stop. As others are stating it is the My Modes section - who should be notified. I would turn these off for now as otherwise you will keep getting the messages. This did NOT impact anything else, I’m still getting the messages upon the events that I setup.
