Vera 2 with a single Z-wave thermostat that worked remotely when I last left town (a year ago)
I’ve tried restarting Vera, restarting thermostat (disconnect for 30 seconds). Heal (results below); Restart Z-wave network; uninstalling z-wave from thermostat (this seems to have failed).

Not sure what my next move should be - I would appreciate advice.

thanks,
Tom

Hi

What make/model of thermostat are you using exactly ?

And are you doing all this remotely?

Thank you for the reply. The thermostat is Trane heat pump thermostat designed to work with the Schlage door lock and Z-wave (?? When I bought it there seemed to be a promotion that tied the two together). I am on site right now. I use it when I travel in the winter - it worked fine last year, but this year I am having this node problem.

Did you try to exclude and include it to the Z-Wave network ?

I am not sure of the technology used to save the Z-Wave info for the thermostat.
But maybe if there is no power for the Thermostat for a whole year it might loose some of
it’s memory.

My thermostat has a battery to retain state when the power goes out … maybe your battery is dead.

This was solved by tech support restoring from backup, which suggests I could have deleted everything and started over. I haven’t figured out yet if the “backup” was of the Mios programming, or on my physical Vera.
