I can’t seem to reset it from the default when no Network, I.e. 30 seconds.

I set desired for 2-Auto to 255 and after a configuration and a poll it shows 255 in Desired Column and also as Current Value of 255 but it auto-relocks at 30 seconds.
3-Relock time is set to 240

I was able to set the user code, but not the relock.

Did I miss a step?

Configured Variable:
1-Silent mode (1-3),1d,2-Auto relock (0 or 255),1d,255,3-Relock time (5 or 255),1d,240,4-Wrong Code Entry Limit (1-7),1d,5-Language (1-3),1d,6-Radio event reporting (0 or 255),1d,7-Shut down time after wrong code entries (1-255),1d,8-operating mode (0=normal 1=vacation 2=privacy 3=no rf),1d,

Edit: did a double-check re 2 & 3 settings and found I had it wrong.
Maybe still wrong as no joy to extend auto-lock time.

I don’t have this device, but I just pulled up the manual for the Touchscreen Deadbolt and it says:

Auto Re-lock: After successful code entry and the unit unlocks, it will automatically re-lock after a default of thirty
(30) seconds. Re-lock time is adjustable from five (5) to thirty (30) seconds.

It looks like you tried to set it to 4 minutes (240s); which maybe it just interprets as 30 seconds?

As per the docs, when the lock is on a network it has some extra capabilities, I.e. longer re-lock times, 0-255 is valid.

My work-around was to turn off re-lock and do it with a scene.

The value appears to take; how about say, 10 seconds; is that successful?

Didn’t try shorter.
I’d have to turn it off eventually anyways so I’ll leave it off just in case it was a fluke configuring.
Will be adding a door sensor so that there is no auto-lock if door open.

I’m getting more locks in a few weeks. I’ll do some experimenting then.

I know this is an old thread… but I’m having the same issues with the same locks and the current beta Vera3 firmware. My testing has shown that a relock time of 180 is the maximum recognized, even though the accepted values is supposed to be 0-255. Setting Auto Relock to 255, and Relock Time to 180, relocks the lock after 2.5 minutes. Setting the relock time above 180, causes the lock to relock after 30 seconds, regardless of the value.

Thanks for the 180 second information, it explains what I am seeing. I found this URL with some setting information. NOTE: this does not appear to be for MCV however I did find it interesting:

I have a yale lock, and I can lock / unlock and poll it from the vera screen. But I have no idea how to update these settings.

I need some help - where do you read and update these variables? I’m not a computer or configuration newbie, but I have banged my head against the wall for hours trying to figure this out. Looks like you’ve got it sorted. Can you point me in the right direction?

Click on the wrench icon for the lock, then choose “Device Options”.
Brings up a form where you see the current settings and set new values.

Unfortunately I cannot find info for what the settings mean. For some it’s obvious from the lock documentation (e.g. language) but for others I don’t know what they do (e.g. Radio event reporting (0 or 255)) or how to set them.

E.g., I’d like to know which user operated a lock but have not been able to find a variable that reports this.

UPDATE: as I just realized (see separate post) - the Vera does not appear to actually update the locks when changing those settings.

I use to use the Auto Lock timer on this device but eventually disabled it to have more control by using the PLEG plugin. The advantage of using the Auto Lock is that you aren’t depending on Vera to Re-Lock your door.

The reason I switched to using PLEG is that there are times I want to turn off the Auto Lock timer like when we are having a gathering at the house and I don’t want to have to keep unlocking the door. By using the PLEG plugin you can enable and disable the Auto Lock with a click of a button on your phone or easily change the Auto Lock time much easier in the plugin than in the advanced settings of the lock.
