it seems I can longer add triggers to automation, clicking the add button has no effect. Any clues?
A little more context would be useful …
Do you mean the Automation tab on Veras control panel ?
If so these are added in three ways:
[ol][li]Via the triggers tab in the context of creating or editing a scene.[/li]
[li]As a result of creating a Notification on a device[/li]
[li]The Program Logic Plugins create them as well, when creating Trigger inputs[/li][/ol]
Ok yes, I try to create a new scene (i.e. light device OFF) in the automation tab select the device I want to automate (including the state - on/off) then go to the triggers tab and select add trigger and …nothing! clicking the add button has no result.
Did you name the trigger ?
That’s required!
After typing in a name … type a carriage return or click the mouse outside the text box to indicate you are done setting the name.
Cannot name the trigger as the add button does not do anything.
I assume you have closed and opened a new browser window.
Do you have access to the Chrome Browser ?
If so … Open a Window on your browser to Vera.
Then point the mouse somewhere in the window and type Constrol Shift I at the same time. This will open a second browser debug window.
In that window click on the Console tab.
Now go back to the Vera window and try to add a tab. Do you get any messages in the Console Window ?
Other browsers have debug support … but the instructions are different. I find Chrome the easiest to get into.
