[code]I7 ▾ Vera Software Update ▾ Version 7.0.26 (1.7.1028/1.7.3797/1.7.3798/1.7.3799) ▾ May 2, 2018
Last Updated: May 2, 2018

Firmware
Vera3, VeraLite, & VeraLite G: 1.7.1028
VeraEdge: 1.7.3797
VeraPlus: 1.7.3798
VeraSecure: 1.7.3799

New Features
VeraEdge, VeraPlus, and VeraSecure (Series 500 controllers) compatible with the latest Z-Wave SDK (6.81, Z-Wave version 6.1).
Easier migration from Vera 3, VeraLite (Series 300 controllers), and the process is now a regular backup and restore.
Z-Wave routing of large networks improved, and redesigned backup and restore functionality.
Note: The backup and restore functionality may not work in some cases. Please contact Customer Care for assistance.
New Security Settings:
This option is mostly for developers which create or change MiOS plugins: Enable potentially unsafe Lua code, like wget and RunLua. Having this option enabled might cause unexpected behavior with some plugins or Lua code.
Enable UPnP. This will make your Vera discoverable and controllable by other UPnP devices.

Fixes and Improvements
Better handling of simultaneous recording uploads
Improved network connectivity detection for faster 3G backup connections
Fixed a synchronization issue that was preventing proper relay configuration to be applied to the controller
Updated notifications (cloud fix)
Affects all customers, regardless of beta status, or live status or older controllers
Now when a basic user is present in the list, other users remain listed (cloud fix)
Now door lock pins added manually from the door lock are visible in the interface
Now special characters are accepted when using the VeraEdge and switching Wi-Fi Access Points
Email notifications display the correct temperature format
Scenes editor improvements for Lua code section
Improved scene trigger editing flow allows changes without asking the user to re-enter time restrictions
API improvements for Zigbee devices (lu_jobstatus fixed)

Known Issues
Only on controllers that have an external USB Z-Wave dongle (USB plugged), communication with devices is lost after upgrade in some cases.
When using Google Chrome versions starting with v59, live streaming no longer works on local connections due to new Adobe Flash Player policy restricting the stream
Minor issue when adding some cameras in some cases using only a VeraPlus and SYNC (WPS) button
Unable to record video in Foscam FI9821W (Mjpeg)
Only in a bridge environment, NodOn Wall Switch disappears from the web UI
“Controller Down” alerts are sent when the relay servers are merely switching
Note: Controllers switch from one relay server to another as a backup only when the controller cannot communicate with the main server assigned to it. Reasons why a controller switches depend on external factors like the customer’s network, ISP or server issues, etc. If the connection drops, the controller jumps to another server
[VeraSecure] Even with the Wi-Fi option re-enabled, the UI displays the “Manually configure” option as being selected
Samsung Appliances are not yet available for usage in Scene actions.

Installed on the test Vera Plus (which only has a few devices) with no problems.

I have over 100 devices and some of them are controlled via http commands and plugins etc.

I hope this is solid f/w. I’ll wait a little bit longer.

My main Vera Plus is similar to your setup—I’m going to wait a while myself.

Similar setup as well. Going for it…will keep you guys posted. Tried the last beta and was not good. Had to revert back without any ill effects. So I suppose I can always downgrade again. Crossing my fingers. ;D

I’ll probably skip this update. I seem to have better luck every other update. AMG0 is reporting icon issues.

Anyone have a link to what?s included in this stable release?

iOS app with the new watch app is pending approval as we speak.
Android app will be seeded to Beta first, and will be there for a week or so, and if everything goes well it will be published. If you have some specific issues with the Android app, maybe our Customer Care team can try to help, if possible.

Should of waited on the upgrade, I have 2 Camera’s (Amcrest/FOSCAM) stop working and now it is saying that the credentials are wrong. I have check and they are correct and have not changed, was working yesterday, working with BI, however after the upgrade they stopped. I tried to recreate the camera and it will not let me get pass the testing and will not pass the credentials. So much for providing security.

I would not upgrading without being prepared to go through the restore process and if you rely on Camera’s as part of security I would wait. I guess is just like back in the old days of service packs with Microsoft, you never wanted to go with the reason version. I am starting to think the Vera release are more like mass beta testing on public, and it is best to stay a revision behind until the masses beta test it for you.

I reported this problem through in the 26b thread and through an open ticket… I guess bug reports get ignored. It looks to me that the software release pattern has not changed. The released versions consistently have more bugs than the betas.

Yep the ole Microsoft code writing rules, develop to 60% and throw it out to the public to beta test under the facade of vetted release and deal with bugs.

This is really making look at only using BI for camera’s and going over to Home Assistant. I guess I have a new weekend project.

Well, I have stopped handling my cameras through the vera anyway. It is too much for them to handle. I only have a few on it essentially to control moving between presets. Recording is done on a QNAP and visual is on Homeassistant. There is an amcrest component there which has a bug and for which I pushed a fix which has been pending merge for a couple of weeks.

Upgraded: current issues

  1. Controller is offline now. can only access via local network
  2. message stating " cannot write user data- system error - waiting to upload"
  3. cannot enable remote support.

what to do now?

Well… I guess I’ll be holding pat again until Vera gets it together. Why roll f/w that has issues in beta to stable? Fix it in the beta first!

Android app is useless in using custom LUA and plugins, like to run my pool through the Jandy plugin, Autelus and the Jandy board, which is RS 432 HTTP commands. I don’t use the app, I log in to home.getvera.com in a browser session. All works there but not in the app. CRAPPY implementation. If it works via a browser, either local or on the WAN, it NEEDS to work in the app. I use ImperiHome for most things now due to the poor implementation in the native app.

All that said, how to get in on the beta? This would be the best channel to tell of these shortcomings as I’ve emailed support and they just point the finger to the app / plugin rather than fixing the app.

This might actually be a feature… finally running internet/cloud free! :stuck_out_tongue: ;D ;D

I installed the beta on my test VP system on April 18, and upgraded to the release yesterday. Looking at Settings—>Backup, the unit stopped backups to Vera’s cloud on April 26. It had been working normally from April 18th. Anyone else see this?

I had all of these same issues on the last beta and now on this release as well. All three issues have to do with the internal storage filling up. I had to contact support and they had to SSH into my unit using my computer via remote and they removed all of the zwave firmware files for other countries to free up enough space to get things working again. The problem is that for some reason the next day these files reappear (re-download?) automatically and the issue is back. I ended up removing the DataMine 2 plugin and deleting associated files just to free up more space. I think these lates firmwares are using significantly more space than previous versions. Right now I can live without Datamine even though I love having that info. Other than that everything seems to be working okay. :-\
