UI5, VeraLite, USB Hub- tried 4 different usbs still not working!!!

Am on 459 beta firmware.

I have installed dataMine so many times tonight its not working!!

" dataMine graphing and logging[26] : Startup Lua Failed"

I’m only using one usb drive - no logging - where am i going wrong

!!??

what settings do i need

I have ssh into the box - and the drive shows as /dev/sda1/

I have even tried manually mounting " mount /dev/sda1 /datamine/ " into the shell but it doesnt work !!!

Hi,
Are you able to get the log file? If you have WinSCP, then first restart Luup to make sure we view the log when there’s an error, then in the terminal box in WinSCP type “cat /var/log/cmh/LuaUPnP.log | grep -i DataMine”. Hopefully this would tell me where it’s failing.

You will ultimately need to use the UUID setting - not the mount since the mount can change each time Vera starts (and actually, it can change even when Vera is just sitting there! >:().

what non vera ways are there to log if i cant get this to work ??

can I log directly to another server??

Hi,
See the updated software and instructions at the following link. I believe this will fix your problem I believe since your log shows the same error as in the other post.

I just keep on getting the USB configuration page.

I’m not manually setting anything.

is it because I have beta firmware 1.459? If I downgrade will I loose my settings?
I really want to use this plugin!

That’s cleared the error that you were having, so there is progress, but it’s clearly still not working correctly as it can’t mount the USB now. I doubt this will be related to the beta software, so don’t downgrade.

Let me have a closer look at the log and see if I can come up with some ideas… I’m sure we’ll get it working.

Actually, now that we’ve cleared the initialisation error, the debug page should work, and this will give me a bit more information. If you go to the dataMine device in UI5 and click on the debug link it would be great if you could send the dump to me…

I’m not sure, but this may be the problem. Either try unmounting (from the terminal in WinSCP, umount /datamine/ might work. The other alternative is to restart your Vera and see if that helps.

The problem appears to be that dataMine isn’t finding the mounted drive - it’s searching for /dataMine without the / on the end, which generally seems to work. This appears not to be working on your setup, so it may be something to do with your manual mount. It’s a bit of an educated guess, but worth a try.

Unfortunately, it’s not (securely) possible to do this through the MCV forward servers. Something needs to host the webpage since the forward servers don’t return this. If you put the GUI somewhere else, then it would work, but it would be a security mess. The solution would be for MCV to host it on their forward servers - I could always ask them about this, but I suspect it may not be a positive response…
