I have 11 different alerts setup for my Schlage be469 with a VeraLite under UI7.
The good news is that for each of the triggers I promptly get a text msg. on my iPhone running IOS 8.1.
The bad news is that these messages all look the same except for the alert # – see example below.
How can I get the messages to identify the actual type of trigger that causes the alert?
Thanks.
========================
1 of 2
FRM:Unit Notification
SUBJ:Alert from your Vera system
MSG:Vera Alert: Trigger Event occured:LV Touch Pad, device:3 LV Schlage Deadbolt
(Con’t) 2 of 2
in Entry, details:=, alert #*******72, serial #******31(End)
Not sure how it works in UI7, but with UI5:
When you create the notification, put descriptive text in the name box. For this example (attached), I entered “Contractor Code.”
Now when the contractor code is entered in the lock, I get a text:
RM:Unit Notification
SUBJ:Alert from your Vera system
MSG:Vera Alert: Trigger Event occured:Contractor Code…
I do the same for other notifications, like Door Locked, Attic Temperature High, Utility Water Leak, Back Door Open, etc.
You may need to delete your current alerts and re-enter them with names.

Thanks Lonestar10.
You helped me solved my problem. This was my first Vera setup. I had all my lock triggers under the same scene so that they had the same name box entry. I didn’t realize I should make a separate scene of each trigger if I wanted them each to have a separate name. Now I get separate descriptive texts for each.
This question has been answered. How does it get designated as completed?
