Ok so i have been using vera 2 for quite a while now. i have one thing i miss from schlage link that i want to try to get to work on vera 2. the trane thermostat can send text messages through schlage link at certian amount of hours. i have had to replace several filters sense i have started using vera 2, the thermostat has a red light on it letting you know it needs something. i just kinda want it to work the same way as schlage link did. i have searched the forums for about a hlaf hour and i didnt see anything. i was wondering what i need to do to get that info and have it text me when it needs this maintence. thanks in advance for any and all help.
i know this is an old post but i came back here for an isue with a switch and was hoping someone would reply. any ideas at all?
@dohcdragon, i just checked mine to see if that variable comes across the Vera and it doesn’t look like it does. One option would be to request MCV to add that in the support for thermostats. I tried to look at writing some luup code but I cannot see where you could capture the thermostat running as a trigger in Vera. No answer here… 
I too wish Vera would show when the red LED filter indicator lights. These Trane thermostats are older models. I’m not sure why Trane removed the LED lights.
Vera also does not show the fan cycle mode either
As per the Nexia/Schlage FAQ on these, it looks like the Nexia/Schlage bridge may have some non-standard voodoo to get at the filter ones.

i know this works with the schlage zwave home automated system. i dont know how or why it works. its just i dont have any interest in ever using that system again. it seams like such a nice option for what it does.
