Tower fan

Hello quick question. It seems when I search tower fan in the forums nothings comes out.

I have an power switch attached to a Honeywell tower fan but, it turns off fine. but when I turn on the power strip I have to manually turn it on (the fan). do I need a device module or a fan with a manually on set up

You’ll need a different fan or to remove/replace the fan’s switch. The fan uses a switch that returns to the Off position when it loses power. This is called a latching switch. It is a safety feature that prevents the fan from coming on unexpectedly. It may also be tied to a sensor of some kind that turns the fan off if it tips over, but I don;t know if this is the case with your fan.

My fan came with a IR remote. So you could use a SQ Blaster or iTach.

Might be cheaper to find a fan that will stay on after losing power.

thanks guys, New on this already looking into another fan
