I am wondering if anybody was able to connect successfully z-wave thermostat to WaterFurnace.
I am looking at micasaverde z-wave controler to allow me to control temperature, lighting as well as video remotely.

You should be able to easily interface the WaterFurnace system with a Vera compatible stat. I am assuming that it uses a standard 24v set of wires, I’m not familiar enough with WaterFurnace specifically but as long as it uses standard control it should work fine. I am using a Trane stat to control my heat pump, it is also configurable for any combination of multi as well as single stage heat and cool systems. I believe Honeywell now makes a Z-Wave stat that should also be as configurable.
Being in the hvac business I try to stay away from off brands. As I understand the Trane stat is made by some other company, as are all their stats but most of theirs are made by Honeywell. I have had mine running for about 8 months with no trouble, so I feel pretty confident with it.
I am using a Trane for my geo-thermal tri-mode system (Radiant , forced air and domestic hot water) The Trane suports 2nd and 3rd stage heating and 2 stage cooling. It took a little time to get the settings correct but once done it has been flawless.
