Thermostat comparison event setup.

I’m using several scenes with “Ambient temperature goes below” which works fine.
Thinking about the setup, It makes more sense in my case to use “Exact ambient temperature is reached” however, selecting this I then have to pick a “comparrison” (which should only have 1 “r”) < / > which should not be necessary.

Would someone look at this and confirm or not that < or > is irrelevant for an “Exact temperature is reached” setting.

Bug #1472, BTW.

My bad.
Thanks buddy…

According to the bug " The temperature may never be “exactly” a certain value, and triggers are activated when it goes lower or higher than selected value."

So what exactly is the difference between “exact ambient temp reached” and “temp goes above/below” ?

I had a lot of trouble using an event of “temperature goes below”, Vera would miss the transition and the heating would carry on running

I settled on using simple LUUP code to do this and setting a timer controlled event to check the temperature every 5 mins and then put heating on/off if the temperature was above/below the required level. This worked well for me and ran my heating all winter.
