The Automator.app MIOS plugin won't retain device identifiers

I have a new Vera 3 running U15. Automator is in contact with Vera.

I have gotten the notification plugin installed but, when I try to enter a device identifier it doesn’t stick. The next time I look at settings, it says “current devices: undefined.”

Any ideas would be appreciated.

If you haven’t done so already you should update the plugin files to the UI5 version. You can do this directly within the app by clicking the “Update” button. I didn’t have time to implement an automatic check. See attached screenshot

I can’t find the page in your screenshot on the Automator app.

Select the blue icon next to the mios system in the system list, then select plugin.

I need to update the website… Sorry about that.

Thanks, I’m very grateful that you respond so quickly.

Sorry…can’t find the update location…

system list?

found it…this need to be done on the iphone…

What else can be the problem?

I don’t understand your question. What are you doing and what isn’t working? Screenshots are always helpful.

Thanks

This is what I have done.
After the installation of the plugin created device.
from the iPhone app updated the plugin

Entering of the device ID did not work
Removed the device from the vera.
recreated the device via the iPhone.
Entering the device ID…“Set” button is having any effect.

Device ID is via e-mail copied from the Iphone.

You appear to be installing the UI4 version of the plugin. Using the Update button in the screen shot earlier in this thread should install the UI5 version (the Plugin Version should show UI5.6, not 3).

I’m using the phone for the update.
iPhone is installing v3.
Just done a new update and getting the next error.

Are you sure you have the latest update of Automator.app? Version 3 is VERY old.

I’ve attached the plugin files that you can upload directly to the vera.

Thanks

I will install it later this evening

I have the latest version of the iPhone app what is available in the Dutch app store
Version 1.5.22

That is the latest. Not sure why you are having such problems updating the plugin. Let me know how the direct upload goes.

All is working fine after replacing the plugin files with the attached files.
Thanks for your support.

Is there also a possibility to send a simple message from a device?
Like status change, Low battery

The easiest way is to send a notification using the “advanced” option in a scene. That scene can be triggered by an event that you care about.

If you are familiar with Lua then you can send push notifications directly from script, which opens up much more options. It does require technical skills though.

Thanks,

Going to study that in the next weeks.
Fot know I’m happy with what is direct possible without any scripting.
