I have tested some IP cameras on UI7 Vera EDGE - latest firmwire.
Edimax IC-7001W - 0.3Mpx
Work on Vera Edge unit, HomeWave, VeraMate and Imperihome
Stream string for UI7: http://:/snapshot.cgi
Sricam AP009 - 1.0 Mpx
Work on Vera Edge unit (with latest firmwire), Homewave, veramate, Imperihome…
Stream string for UI7: http://:/snapshot.cgi?user=&pwd=&resolution=32&rate=0
HIKVISION DS-2CD2032-I - 3 Mpx
Works on Vera Edge unit, HomeWave, Veramate and Imperihome
Stream string for UI7: http://:/Streaming/Channels/1/picture
DIGITCAM IPC N2400W40W-P - 2 MPX
Problems with streaming - Show picture on UI7, but is just still picture, on software like homewave too… (maybe is snapshot stream link wrong?!? I sold this camera, so I can’t test it anymore)
stream: http://:/snapshot.jpg
HIKVISION DVR DS-7204HWI-SH - DVR videorecorder with 4 analog kameras
Works on Vera Edge unit, HomeWave, Veramate and Imperihome
Thank you very much for the hikvision information. I have around 7 Hikvision cams (about 4 different models). I am looking forward to getting things all setup. I appreciate the info!
Are all Onvif cameras compatible with Vera? Because I have a NVR from Avigilon with a couple of Avigilon 5MP cameras that I would like to integrate with Vera. I also have a analog to IP converter from Avigilon that I also would like to integrate.
Dude, thank you so much for the tests. Been wanting to add a camera to my setup for awhile now. Love the fact that you tested them with Imperihome. . Thanks!

I am not as smart as I thought I was and am hoping for some help.
I purchased on HOSAFE camera to like with my Vera3 and I cannot figure out how to create/modify the device in the Vera.
As a background, I have 3 Foscam cameras working fine on Vera, so I am not completely clueless.
I can get the camera working on my “TinyCam” App on my phone, but I am messing something up in the advanced setting as I cannot get the feed.
I tried variations of IP address, port and URL (“/live0.264”), when that didn’t work, I tried the entire :/live0.264 in the URL, then I added the DirectStreamURL variable (saw that in one of my Foscams), and put the entire string there.
Any chance you can give me the 1 minute version of what you did (aka, created device using generic camera and then…)
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks
Good job testing the cameras !
But it would be nice with some official “work with vera” notes.
The users seems to be left alone.
It should not be “science” to ad a camera.
Yep, I’ve been using the LTN8704-P4 (4 port POE) with no problems in UI7 (this is a rebranded US version of HIK - LTS)
With this NVR, you must enable the “Virtual Host” option for the camera to show up in Vera, this provides unique ports for each camera since the NVR has a specific IP (each IP camera in the NVR gets a unique port number) ie. 192.168.1.1:65001, 192.168.1.1:65002, etc…

Thanks for posting this, but it seems I still get an invalid URL notice instead of a camera image. Is part of the bogus data you mention the URL’s you’ve listed? I’ve never been able to obtain a good snapshot URL for the Wansview camera I use.

Hi Guys, you can use this request in the same network to add third party cameras. Just replace the bogus data with yours.

I used here generic URL. You will have to use the correct snapshot url based on your camera. Either put it directly in the URL, instead of /videostream.cgi , or in the URL paramenter, after the camera device is created on dashboard.
Hi guys, hopefully not off topic here but im a bit unclear on this nvr link with vera.
If i have an nvr with built in poe (no separate poe switch) will i ne able to access the cameras with vera?
I will buy a dahua nvr but im not sure if cameras will be accesible by vera if they are not going to a poe switch but rather directly into the nvr Dahua NVR4216-16.
Any ideas?
The nvr does have some alarm.inputs/outputs but dont want to link it via my dsc alarm trigers but rather directly to vera from nvr.
Dont want to buy something that wont be compatible.
Thnx for help.
