Switch not responding, Can't remove from the network.

I’ve got a switch that I think may have gone bad. It doesn’t respond from UI5 and doing a “Configure Now” fails with an error #1.

I also can’t remove the switch from my network. When I put Vera in exclude mode and operate the switch, Vera doesn’t recognize it at all.

Is it safe to just remove the switch and replace it? Will Vera eventually purge it?

Vera won’t automatically remove the device. After you have permanently disconnected the device, click the device’s wrench icon and then click the trash can icon.

If the device later re-appears in the Vera UI and you can;t seem to eliminate it, you may need to run the following URL in your browser.
http://<local_Vera_IP>:3480/data_request?id=device&action=delete&device=<device_ID>

Seems like I’ve got it removed. After I deleted it, an appliance controller appeared that had also been added at one time but deleted. Hot sure why it reappeared. Deleted it successfully too.

Thanks for the info.
