Supported IP-cameras / manually adding camera?

I upgraded my firmware and refreshed. Panasonic IP camera is still the only option for me.

Following the above steps I was able to get the correct settings for the camera to save but my DCS-900’s are still not working.

I am seeing different results now.
I am no longer seeing the broken image icon in the image box and the image box is now all white.

It is definitely making a request to the camera.

I upgraded my firmware and refreshed. Panasonic IP camera is still the only option for me.

The device template still says “Panasonic”, but it’s ok. Choose it anyway. Just change the ‘Path’ to be the one that corresponds to your camera.

Are Lorex IP cameras supported?

Note this announcement: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php?topic=115.0

I’m not sure if Lorex devices work, but over the next couple weeks we’re working to add compatibility with any devices Vera should work with that it doesn’t. So, if you’re able to contact us (phone is best) and enable the remote assistance, which will let us get on to your home network remotely, we can remotely view the camera’s web pages and try to add support for it. We’ll also be adding plug and play support for more ip cameras over the next 2 weeks.

Tested Lorex - can’t get it work.

The model I have is Lorex IPSC2260

Lorex and D-Link cameras not working

I don’t have any other IP cameras here to test with, so it’s hard for me to get it working. But if you guys with the D-Link and Lorex cameras don’t mind giving me temporary access to your home network with the remote assistance feature, then I can login and remotely connect to your network and fix it. I can just rebuild the Generic IP Camera Manager device if needed, and patch your Vera so it works. You can call me at: (702) 487-9770 ext. 803. It’s Saturday, and I’ll be around until about 7:30pm Pacific Time. Otherwise I’ll be available all day on Monday.

I found the problem and fixed it on docBliny’s system. It’s working with his D-Link camera. I also added the D-Link camera to the plug and play detection script (/usr/bin/cmh_PnP) so it will be added automatically next time if the username is set to dceadmin and the password to dcepass (same like the Panasonic),.

There is an issue, though, that the image only shows once and disappears. This is some sort of JavaScript error, and the guy on our team who does Java Script won’t be in until Monday. I also see the reason why your VOIP is showing up as a panasonic camera. There’s another dev who does the bash stuff, and I’ll talk to him on Monday about this as well.

The next firmware will have these changes. This should also allow the Lorex camera to work. If you want to test this 325xi, go to advaned, download and put in this URL: http://download.controlmyhouse.net/betafirmware/wl500gP-1.0.293.trx (NOTE: This firmware hasn’t been tested, but the only real change is the one for the dlink camera). If the Lorex still doesn’t work, let me know so I can fix that too before the next firmware.

Hello,
Just to report that I can’t see through Vera my Lynksis web IP camera. I think I’ve tried all the tricks mentioned above and no luck.
The URL of the still image is: http://192.168.102/img/snapshot.cgi . Link work in both Safari and Firefox browser, but Vera doesn’t show it.
One thing Vera doesn’t allow me is to change Controlled Via from “PC” to “generic IP camera manager”. I can change it, but after Saving, and reloading it shows PC again.
Firmware version: 1.0.292
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Nenad

IP in the URL is broken, isn’t it? Last part is missing…

One thing Vera doesn't allow me is to change Controlled Via from "PC" to "generic IP camera manager". I can change it, but after Saving, and reloading it shows PC again.

I can reproduce this. We’ll fix it this week: http://bugs.micasaverde.com/view.php?id=252

Changing from “PC” to “Generic IP camera manager” works now.

However, I am still not able to see camera still image from Linksys camera.

I’ve entered IP address (as is, without http://), MAC address, and path (in my case that is:img/snapshot.cgi?size=2&quality=2 ). I’ve also tried with different browsers (Safari, Firefox, IE, Chrome), with different paths (changing size and quality), with and without MAC address, etc… no luck. Still images are showing well once the full http path is copied in the browser.

By the way, when I press “View Camera”, Firefox is reporting " … “Transferring from [IP address]” but nothing happens.

Am I doing something wrong?

I was able to get the Linksys WVC54GCA wireless webcam working. I changed the username and password to the Panasonic default and used img/snapshot.cgi?size=2&quality=2 as the path.

neske, you can ping one of us on IM (click support from micasaverde.com) if you want me to look into it.

Is vera support PTZ IP Cameras?

I am not able to remote view cameras via findvera.com. Please help.

Have been trying to get the Panasonic wireless camera working, unsuccessfully.

When trying to make the suggested changes in the camera settings within Vera, I continually get
https://ra1.findvera.com
Error saving devices.”

Note that I can view this camera fine via the local interface (192.168.1.253).

I’ve removed the camera, re-added it. No luck. Changed ports, etc. Nada through Vera. I’m working on a Mac, so cannot run the Panasonic setup program.

You are not the only one having this issue. Both my Panasonic cameras stopped working with the last two firmware updates. I was going to try to enable the tech support option this past Wed and work with micasaverde on the issue, but got tied up with work. I tried re-adding the cameras earlier today with no luck.

I’m online with micasaverde right now. They are taking a look at my Vera setup.

I installed a PTZ IP camera suceefully, but the PTZ functions not working in Vera. Please help.
