Support of xPL

Hi!
Do you know if VeraOS and/or MiOS will support xPL ?
(see [url=http://xplproject.org.uk/?page_id=2]About the Project « The xPL Project )

Vera could be either a xpl core or a xpl client, in order to integrate all the peripherals managed by vera in a bigger xpl network

Regards,
Tom.

Sounds similar to what Vera already does with UPnP. In other words, Vera presents all its devices on UPnP.

Are there any xPL controllers used in the real world? If so, it would be interesting to port the Perl or Java xPL code to Lua.

The new RFXCOM is now xpl compatible. It will be great if Vera could support xpl: Vera could be use Oregon Scientifci Sensor, OWL, etc…

You may want to chime in on this thread, where @evanes has built a level of support for the RFXCOM device:

I’ve been looking to get one of these, but the US-based supplier has gone oddly silent, and I don’t fancy shipping one from the EU.

Yes, but if Vera would support xpl, i think we don’t need plugin, a few lines of Lua would be suffisant.

… and Vera could control Squeezebox Server via xPL.

Yes, also ! (i must receive my 4 Squeezebox Receiver tomorrow, i’ll test your plugin soon

and there is a Sonos App via xPL.
