digitalbee - I’ve PMed you.
Hi all, would this plugin work in UI7, I am planning of getting a vera, Just wondered if it would work with vera egde which is on UI7, or should I get a vera lite (or 3) with UI5.
Thanks All
Hi
Please may I have a copy of this plugin
Thanks in advance
ismailbmw
As I said earlier in this thread, the plug-in has not been tested on UI7 and since I have no intention of moving my Veras to UI7 I cannot say when UI7 support will be implemented.
I think it is unlikely to work on UI7 without some tweaks.
Let me know when you have your Vera and I’ll send you a copy of the plug-in.
Alan, ive found you again with yet another killer pluggin by the look of things!
As with your Texecom pluggin you kindly provided, I am replacing my whole house heating and hot water control system
Heatmiser is on my radar ( with your pluggin if possible!) but I’m a bit bewildered with all the different models and whats compatible with you pluggin.
Basically i require one downstairs stat with heating and hot water control and one upstairs stat for just heating. I prefer the touchscreen models, and I’m able to hardwire as the house is being refurbed. Also do i need any additional equipment such as a hub to link everything and to the vera?
Thank you in advance!
Chris
Hi Chris
My plug-in supports this Heatmiser series: TouchScreen Programmable Thermostat Series – Heatmiser
If you decide to use these I think you’ll probably need a PRT/HW-TS for downstairs and a PRT-TS for upstairs.
These models are a straight replacement for existing three-wire mains thermostats in most UK houses. They are wireless, so the plug-in communicates with them via wi-fi over your LAN. If you have more than one Heatmiser from the supported range you simply install two devices on Vera, using different IP addresses for each one. Several users of the plug-in have a set-up similar to the one you describe.
The Neo and other wired network Heatmiser models are not supported; they use a separate Heatmiser hub and have different communications protocol because they are separately addressable via the hub.
Hope this helps.
Alan
Alan your a star. Those are the two I found. Heatmiser seemed to have discontinued there wifi stats and these are the replacements although it doesn’t describe any wifi or network connectivity. The description is vague at best.
Hello Allan,
Could I trouble you for a copy of your plugin. You seem to have created something of great demand.
Thank you for investing your time creating this plugin. Much appreciated.

I’ve PMed you.
I don’t suppose anyone’s found a neat way to adapt Alan’s excellent plugin for UI 7? It seems to work fine except for an erroneous “can’t detect device” error…
Dannnnn
I’d imagine it’s something relatively easy to fix, but without access to a UI7 box I can’t really comment.
Alan
of course - you’ve done a fantastic job with this, and it’s much appreciated. Hopefully someone out there has UI7 and knows more about programming Vera than I do (which is to say, more than nothing!)
Hi Alan
Could I also trouble you for a copy of your neat plugin for the Heatmiser WiFi thermostat.
Warmest regards
Steve
Hi All
Would it be possible for anyone else to share a copy of the plugin at all?
Warmest regards

I’ve PMed you.
Hi there,
I’ve got a wired model PRT-TS thermostat currently. Am I correct that the model I need for Z-Wave and Micasa connectivity would be the PRT-WTS. Am I also correct that I would need the RC1-W Wireless Receiver for the PRT-WTS to communicate with?
Earlier on in the thread when people are referring to wireless vulnerabilities, are they referring to the web interface published from the UH wiring centres as opposed to the thermostats themselves? I’m confused as to how a wireless thermostat on 868MHz would be in any way connecting to the wireless?
Could I please get a copy of the plugin? Many thanks in advance.
Richard
This plug-in supports the Heatmiser WI-FI range, not the WIRELESS range The former connect direct to your house LAN, whereas the latter use a different frequency and protocol, and require the additional wireless receiver.
Here’s one of the models supported:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/WiFi-Enabled-Touchscreen-Programmable-Thermostat/dp/B00649IWXI
There’s another plug-in in the mios app store which supports the older wired networked models but that was written by someone else so I can’t comment on functionality or support.
I’ll PM you my e-mail address in case you have any further questions. If you reply with yours I’ll send you the plug-in files if you’re still interested.
