Any thoughts on using Bitwise Controls devices instead of Global Cache GC100’s?
Seems like a main difference is that the Bitwise has an onboard IR database where as the GC100 has to be a separate and ‘offboard’ database maintained outside the device. Bitwise may be easier to implement.
Seems like a good thought but it also seems like the micasaverde team is really close on the Global Cache device (http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php?topic=583.msg3524#msg3524). The other advantage of the GC device is that with the new UPNP service it’ll be a snap to add new devices. It seems like that might be a little bit harder with the Bitwise system.
