SQ Blaster / SQ Remote Support Quality and iOS 6

Hi - I purchased a MCV Vera Lite for both home automation and AV control. In doing more research on the AV side, it seems that SQ Remote and SQ Blaster Plus are the best option for Apple iDevice (Pod/Pad/Phone) applications and controllers. In doing more research on them, it appears that Square Connects development efforts are lagging and their support is questionable (based on reviews on the App Store). Plus in looking at their website the news releases are a year+ old. And, there is confusion on what is the latest rev of their Apps. App Store shows version 1.1 (Dec 19, 2011), and their website shows version 2.3, which isn’t on the App Store. Lastly, it appears their app isn’t iOS 6 compatible (multiple App Store reviews about crashes).

At this point I am very skeptical about pulling the trigger to buy the SQ Blaster + and their app. While the concept is great and appears what I need and want, the lack of current and timely development and quality support are a deal breaker.

Would appreciate any and all feedback, experience, and input.

The app and blaster work very well, and there are some pending fixes coming out for iOS6 soon, along with another fix for an issue that some users experienced with disappearing MiOS devices. (I never had this)

The guys that run the company have been very busy developing the software for the new SQ home controller (SQ blaster + Zwave) which won’t be too far off releasing.

Strangely - thanks for your feedback and input. I look forward to their new app. BTW - I filed an inquiry to their website and received a quick reply from their CEO, which was very appreciated and positive.

Ignore, all the feedback, they are just enormously busy developing for the new platform which will benefit everyone.

The product is great works really good, but in the meanwhile the ones that update our devices to the new IOS6 cannot use the application. Is there any workaround?
