Good morning folks,

Trying to reduce the time frame required, to turn a light on, based on a scene triggered by a motion sensor.

Could I use the following steps:

  • Once the device is created, ie. LIGHT

  • Choose CONTROL in the created device on the DEVICE PAGE.

  • Select ADVANCED from the menu below.

  • Select COMMANDS from the next screen

  • Change the CONTROLLED VIA to Motion Sensor instead of the default ZWave.

Any chance this could work ?

No, not at all. That’s not what it means. ‘Controlled by’ designated the parent device in the virtual environment. All ZWave devices should be controlled by device #1.

What you’re after is device associations, part of the ZWave standard itself, and nothing directly to do with Vera hardware or software.
