Sooooo....VeraMate is getting worse for me

Long story short, iBeacans don’t work well and after getting an Apple Watch and buying the upgrade, now every time I open VeraMate I get a pop-up to enter my password for iTunes. I’m not sure if it’s a part of being in the Beta program (my wife’s copy doesn’t do that) or if it’s something wonky with the Apple Watch (my wife doesn’t have one) but it’s to the point I don’t use the app anymore. I’ve put a couple tickets in but so far nothing.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I believe you are the only one experiencing the continuous prompt for the iTunes password. As mentioned on the support ticket though, this isn’t something that app developers have any control over, so is something you would really need to talk to apple support unfortunately.

A quick google shows this isn’t too uncommon:

Basically, try signing out, and back in for your itunes/icloud. Seems to fix it for most people.

Ultimately, you could also try and re-download the non-beta app (which can simply be re-downloaded from the appstore), and see if that perhaps fixes it.

For the iBeacons, it’s still on the dev list to investigate more if they’ve regressed for iOS9 somehow…

Yea, so I have done the log out/back in…still only VeraMate causing the issue. Deleted and re-downloaded VeraMate twice…sill only VeraMate … Reset all settings on phone…yep, still only VeraMate. Deleted from my watch…nothing. I can open literally every other app on my phone and/or watch and I don’t get the iTunes pop up but once I open VeraMate BAM…enter password.

I will have to reiterate, that this is not something apps have control over. This means something is not setup properly on your phone and/or (more likely), related the the aforementioned Apple bugs causing the login to appear. VeraMate perhaps uses more functionality then other apps you’re using, as it requires access to iCloud and security keychain etc etc to keep encrypted credentials and use iCloud storage for some settings - this will likely be why it doesn’t appear for other apps that don’t use what ever is causing the iOS bug.

There really is nothing I can do other then point to the apple forum (or Apple support) and ask you make sure you try each of the methods the members of the apple forum have suggested.

As some more links, and these range from more then just logging out and back into iCloud - you’ll need to look at each of these options.
