Hello, I just bought my sonos system with 4 speakers, so I am new to the plugin. I have been digging a little bit in this great plugin and now I have it up and running, but I can’t fine and don’t know if it is not yet implemented, to control de Spotify playlists and songs. I have try using the spotify windows app uri as the uri to call but I am not getting any success. So by now, I can only manage to play (resume) the playlist, pause or manage volume and groups, but I can’t manage anything about playlists, playing specific song, etc.
Any clue?

I have my Sonos plugin installed and working fine, volume control and playlists from Homewave app, etc.
but my plugin was installed of the old way, I can see now we have the plugin in app store…
is recommended install from app store for future updates ?
if I install from app store, I lose all my actual settings ?
what do you recommend for me ?

Indeed your plugin is excelent, I love it, I have just bought sonos and now it is fully integrated with my home. The only thing is that I find the plugin it a little bit heavy for vera. I added five devices (since I have five of them) and now my Vera is crashing for memory issues, I have look at the log and I can see that the plugin parses the whole playlists, I think that there is the load… but I am not an expert. Maybe you could dig a little bit. I am able to troubleshoot whatever you need.

I had a similar suspicion after memory issues. I asked the same question here but not sure if anyone is able to answer, as its been a while since posting? Be good to know if this is a real issue or not as I have stopped using the plugin for now, except for 1 device that I only use for radio. Shame as it was by far my favourite and most used plugin until then. I guess if it does try and load the entire queue, a simple update with a setting to restrict the queue load would solve the issue.

It is just easier to install from the app store but not mandatory.

No, you losse nothing but a new device will be automatically created.
You can then delete this new device. It will tell you that the plugin will be uninstalled but finally the files are not deleted. The plugin is just not displayed as installed.

I will recommend to keep the manual install in 2 cases:
- you are familiar with manual installation
- you like to test updates before they are released in the app store.
For basic users, installing from the app store remains largely easier and avoid human errors (forget one file, …).

You can now disable queue fetching. Maybe it can help you.

I think the action UpdateGroupMembers should match your need. Set the parameter “Zones” to a comma-separated list of your 3 zone names and call it on a device associated to one of these 3 Sonos zones.

I would like from my homewave app (running something in my vera) to deassociate this 2 devices or even any other association I have in my home…turning all the sonos independent…

For ungrouping, one solution would be to call BecomeCoordinatorOfStandaloneGroup on eachi device (associated to a Sonos zone).

Here the results…I create a scene and in advanced tab I put like the picture…I repeat the id number of my sonos device in the box at right…
the scene do not works…stay “starting scene execution” forever…
You have to leave InstanceId parameter to blank or set it to 0.

even putting 0 or blank…when I run the scene the red flag appears with starting scene execution… and no more goes out.
Try to do only one call in your scene and see if it does something.
It may be necessary to add a delay between each call as Sonos needs few seconds to update a group.

Using The sonos plugin, and its working perfektly, but i would like to use it more. Anyone tried to get The google tts to say text that is an value? For example, if i like to get The sonos to tell me The outside temperature ? I am not god at lua programming so i havent even tried.
But it would be realy cool
My dream cenario i wake up and Walk out to The livingroom, and the sonos speaker says. “God morning The outside temperature is 20 deagrease”
Anyone tried somthing like this? (And how did you do it)
