[SOLVED] Help with controlling Dooya dv24ce blind motor (blinds.com blind)

Hello,

I recently purchased 2 motorized blinds from blinds.com. I was hoping I could automate the blinds. I have read through the thread on this site in regards to modifying the remote (http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,11865.0.html) which I may end up doing, but I wanted to find out if there were any other options since they use RF. The frequency on the remote page says they have an emission frequency of “433.90MHz +/- 100KHz”. I was hoping to use the RFX transceiver plugin but when I emailed RFX support they said “You can try with RFXmngr if the remote can be received. If the remote is not received with only BlindsT0 or BlindsT1 enabled there is no way to control that blinds motor.” I emailed a response for more info but I got the same exact response. I think the language barrier is getting in the way, so I thought I’d ask for any other options on this forum.

One other problem I see is that I’m in the USA and apparently I can’t get the transmitter version? Is there any other options out there that someone could point me towards? I don’t understand how the remotes could be approved but the RFXCOM device isn’t. Maybe I’m missing something. I’d love to get these working without having to modify remotes.

Thanks in advance,

Pete

EDIT: Changed title to indicate this is solved.

In case anyone else has this problem I was able to get it to work. I used HEK’s MySensors Arduino Plugin. You can read more about how I did it here if you’re interested: Controlling Blinds.com RF Dooya Motors with Arduino and Vera | MySensors Forum
