SOLVED: Everspring AN145 Lamp Holder

Hi all,

I bought two Everspring AN145 Lamp Holder but I’m not able to pair with VEra.

I put the Vera in “adding Device”, I put the lamp very close to the Vera. The z-wave led is blinking, and when I click the button in the VEra the led blink faster and then it remain on.

But I don’t see the device in the GUI.

Could someone help me?

UPDATE: I opened a ticket and after few few hours, with a remote connection MiCasaVerde fix my Vera, saying that was an upgrade problem. Now I can add all the devices. Thank you for the support guys

Thank you!!!
Matteo

Did you try deleting the device before adding it - have seen many devices from multiple manufacturers have a Network/Home ID and Device ID out of the box 8)

Tthanks is for the support!

But how can i delete it? I don’t see it the vera dashboard.

This Are the instruction

Even though the device is not shown on the dashboard, go through the exclude process. This resets the device and allows it to be included.

If you screw a lamp into the AN145, and plug it into the outlet, and then look at the led on the AN145 what is it doing? If it is blinking slowly, then it has not been added…

Looking at what you did above, I see you working only on the Vera, but the process is a two step process.

To exclude devices: Press and hold the MiOS system’s Zwave button for 3 seconds and then release. The Zwave light will blink rapidly, 4 times per second, to indicate the MiOS system is in exclude mode.

In your original post this is what you said you did, and only this as I read what you wrote… I believe you wanted to tap the Zwave button once again at this point to get a slow blink. (you are then in include mode) at this point touch the button on the AN145 to add it to the Vera.

Hope that helps…

To include devices: Tap the MiOS system’s Zwave button. The Zwave light will blink slowly, once per second, to indicate the MiOS system is in include mode.
Carry the MiOS system around to all the devices you want to include or exclude and press each device’s activate button. When the MiOS system has successfully included or excluded a device the Zwave light will flutter for 2 seconds as confirmation.

When you have finished adding or removing devices and want to save your changes, tap the Zwave button once if include mode to exit include mode and go back to normal.

When the MiOS system has finished saving the new devices and resumed normal operation the Zwave light will come on solid again. If you’re in exclude mode and want to save your changes, tap the Zwave button once to go into include mode, then, when in include mode, tap it again. When the Zwave light is on solid you can now unplug the battery pack and reconnect the MiOS system like normal.

Hi,

the led is continuously blinking slowly, so for you said, it is not been yet added.

I tried to exclude it, then do re add but no way.

I tried with the Vera Wizard, or using the button directly in the Vera.

My Step:

  • screw a lamp and plug in in the outlet
  • lamp led blinking slowly
  • press z ware button, z wave led start blinking
  • I press the button in the Everspring
  • the z wave lamp blinks very fast for a couple of second and then it remains on
  • then i press the z wave button to save the information
  • I go back to my dashboard and I don’t see nothing (should I do something in the dashboard??)

Thank you guys!!

Here in Switzerland is something, but luckily this forum exists!!!

@teonobello

Reading through the forums i found that zome Z-wave devices get some factory id’s for the Z-wave network.
The only way to include them into a new network (like yours) is to exclude the device (like a hard reset of your computer).

Refer to the manual of the AN145 foor button combinations to do so.

For instance, to in or exclude my Duewi switch i have to press the on/off button 3 times fast.
So this can be done without vera taking part in the exclusion process.

Hope this helps!

Henk

    @teonebello,
    Try waiting to press the Z-Wave button until the LED is blinking slowly again; which is an indication it is ready to include the next device. It sometimes takes a moment for this to happen. Just give it some time.

@Henk,
To exclude (or include) a device, requires an action on the controller as well. It is the controller that sends the right command to the device.

Perhaps you meant a (factory-)reset of the device. A device may offer a way to reset it to defaults, which would not require a controller. Such a reset would also have the effect of excluding the device (as its HomeID and NodeID are reset), but only on the device side. The controller still thinks the device is in the network, so you’d have to delete the device from the controller manually, or you may get routing issues, etc. This delete, the trash bin, actually works well now in .1245, but in general it is advisable to do an exclude with Vera, especially if Vera was first (attempted to be) used to include a device.

[ul]Trick to Exclude - I was having a hard time excluding several of these devices that was included in an older Vera that I was upgrading. I tried multiple times but could not exclude/include. I found a trick on another smart home website.

[list]
[li]Click Devices in Vera (UI7)
[/li][li]Click on Add Device
[/li][li]Use Generic Zwave option
[/li][li]Click Next, Next then after a few seconds Retry
[/li][li]When the Removing Device message appear at the top of the screen, press the LED button on the AN145 3 times quickly (1 per sec or so)
[/li][li]You should see the message change and the device included in the vera system
