Should I get Vera 2???

Ok…I have vera 1 and it has been very useful. Our condo is in FL and we are in TN (8 Hrs) away, so reliability is key. I have 2 Schlage door locks, Thermostat and lights controlled by Vera.

What is changing? Do I need to change? Why have I not been told??

I only visit the forum when I have a questions and I just found out about this.

Any advice???

If the Vera 1 is being reliable for you and you do not want to spend the money, then stick with that. Both Vera 1 and Vera 2 will have support. I have heard that you can keep your Vera 1 and upgrade to the Vera 2 for about half the normal price of a Vera 2. There have been a few post asking the same questions and waiting to hear back from Micasa on the advantages of the newer hardware compared to the Vera 1.
