i got it working !
One thing I noticed is that if the TV is powered on via the TV remote control, after a while the ip control via vera of on or off works correctly, however if the tv is powered down for some 30 seconds or more and I try to turn it on via the vera it does to power up.
The only way to make it the vera control of on and off is to use the tv remote and then later it can be commanded via vera…
Any suggestions?
Forgot to mention, you need to run the scene with the OnIP command while the TV is on. If it is off when you do it the TV won’t get the command.
I have run the scene with the IPON command after turning on the TV with the Sharp Remote Control, after about 30 seconds i am able to turn off the TV and Turn it back on via the Sharq Aquos Device on the vera. However if I turn off the TV for about 30 seconds or more then after I am not able to turnn the TV back on using the same on /off buttons available on the Sharp Aquos Device in Vera, is this normal? It appears that when the TV is off then the IPON command does not execute from the Vera scene.
I ultimately am trying to setup a scene that when I turn on the lights in my Home Theater, I am also turning on the TV screen as part of the same scene commands, any suggestions?
More specfically my Lighting scene today when activated turns on my Zwave lights and Yamaha AV recevier ( App from the vera store for the IP control of the AV Recevier) which is set to play a Pandora Station, however the pandora station from the Yamaha AV recevier cannot be displayed on the Sharp TV… unless there was a way via the IP control on the Sharp app, to also add the command to turn on the TV in the same scene.
However if the Sharp TV does not come form being off a while via the IP control then I cannot have the complete setup work as intended.
Let me know if there is an issue with the TV not being able to be turned on when off via the Vera Sharp IP control app, or I need to setup a different set of commands on my scene.
Thanks so much!
May have have not asked the right question, is there a way for when the TV is off even for an hour or so, provided the onip has be run on the vera for to turn it back on ? This is where I am not able to get the app to work correctly. As have mentioned if the TV is on and then I turn off via the app it works but then unable to turn back on after 30s or more time that it has been off…
don’t mean to overexplain but hoping there is something that can be figured out. thanks again and look forward to further configuring to make this work.

Sorry, I’ve reached my ability to help then. I ran into the same situation but I followed the directions in another thread that said to run the scene with the TV on. After that the IPon command was remembered and I am able to turn on the TV when even being off for multiple hours.
RHINESEL thank you for your support so far, i think I may have resolved the problem i deleted the app and the scene, and started all over and reinstalled the app, added the TV ip address and then created the IPON scene and ran it. It seems that may have solved the issue and now the TV is able to be turned on and off.
Though now there is another anomaly, it seems the sharp TV logo stays on all the time regardless if the TV is either turned off or on.
Whereas before the TV logo illuminated specifically when turning the TV off. I am not sure if this is caused by the IPON command driving this, though I could go into the tv setup and turn off the the Sharp TV Arrow logo and not have to troubleshoot further.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

It has been a long time since I first set mine up but I do remember a setting to turn the logo on/off. Mine operates now just like it did previously. Illuminates when turning on but then dims out 30 seconds later or so.
Glad it worked out for you. Sometimes the best option is to just erase everything and start from scratch. I think I factory reset my Vera about 3 times while getting this to work (this was the first thing I did so it wasn’t any issue).
