I have a VeraLite from eBay and I’m having problems setting it up. I’ve gone through the home.getvera.com process up to step 3, but on step 3, I get a giant red banner saying “Internet Connetion Error!” (note the lack of ‘c’) while the upper right corner indicates that “Updating control software…” is ongoing. Every few seconds, the red banner switches to a blue “Loading…” message and then switches back to the red banner (a refresh attempt I assume). As you can tell from this post, my internet works fine. I have had no outages while attempting this process. My VeraLite is hardwired to the wireless router that is hardwired to my cable modem.
When I go back to the root page on home.getvera.com, I am unable to log in using the information I provided so I assume that information only gets saved on the server when this process completes. When I click the “I have a new controller” button again and agree to the terms and conditions again, I am advised “Setup Wizard Already Started” and the serial number indicated on the page matches my device. When I click “Continue Setup Wizard”, I had previously (the first two times I tried this process) been asked to re-enter the two pages of information required by Vera. Now, clicking “Continue Setup Wizard” leads me directly to the “Internet Connetion Error!”
I’ve called Vera support twice during business hours and gotten an answering machine. I’ve emailed and received no response. Any tips on how I can get my VeraLite to be anything but a paperweight?
