I’ve been wading through these forums, becoming more and more confused. Help please!
I’d like to be able to temporarily disable the autolocking feature of my Kwikset deadbolt. Say for a party, or moving things in and out during the winter, so I don’t have to leave the door open. Ideally, I’d like to use HomeWave to activate a switch that will enable/disable autolocking.
I’ve been reading about using the PLEG plugin to create the automation, but I keep getting tripped up.
Is it possible to do what I am hoping to do?
I do not think there is an easy way to turn auto-lock on and off.
I believe people are turning auto-lock off permanently.
Then they use PLEG or PLTS to Lock after the door is unlocked and the specified amount of time has passed.

Dip switch #2 controls the autolock. Not sure exactly what model you have.
I easily turned autolock off on my kwikset locks.
