I am wanting to install a Mi Casa Verde system and would like to utilize my existing alarm system. I have a Gemini alarm system (GEM-P1632 Panel). I spoke with someone today that said this panel/system may not be compatible. Is this true? If so, is there anyway to use some of the equipment that I have? I have 3 Gemini keypads, Gemini wireless controller with many wireless and wired door and window contacts as well as fire and smoke. I would like to utilize as much of my system as possible. Can I change my control panel and if so what would work well with this z-wave system. Thanks for any help and/or suggestions.

Gerald, you might want to deflate your sense of self importance here on the forum…especially when you are asking others for the expertise that you yourself are lacking.
MCV doesn’t moderate this forum, so it is through our own self-policing that we keep some order here and prevent it from becoming chaos. Everyone makes mistakes like cross posting, just swallow your pride and say “oops, sorry”.
And as for “leave it to someone like” Garrett, I’m perplexed. Someone who donates his time writing amazing apps and plug ins that he gives away for free? Someone who offers to add features that other people want but he may not ever use? Someone who voluntarily shares his expertise and patiently explains to newbies not only how to use their Vera, but even how to search the forum to find the answers to their questions that have already been answered but they didn’t want to spend the time researching?
I suspect that you could do far worse than to have someone like Garrett respond to your post.
