Searching for a z wave temperature probe

Does anyone make a z wave temperature probe for measuring water temperature or ambient temps.?

Ideally the temp sensor would be a 10k thermistor or a PT 1000 RTD. The sensor could be put into a sensor well for fluid measurement or placed in a location to measure ambient temps. The device would be powered by line voltage or have a very LONG life battery.

I have seen single devices like Evergreen but the temperature sensor is located on the circuit board and can not be separated easily and can not be placed outdoors.

Update:
This is incredible that no one makes a simple temperature probe that can be used to measure a fluid by putting the problem in a thermal well!!!

Someone should develop this product or allow for a standard sensor to be wired to and existing product.

Applications:
Measure pool or spa temp.
Measure the temp of a circulation loop in a hotel - so you can turn off the circulator based on time or temp.
Measure the temp of a tank of fluid for kitchens or food service trays Synapse Wireless is developing something but using their own radios)
Walk in Freezer temp.
Brewerys
Winery
Waterbeds - do they still have those?

What the heck?

I know you asked for z-Wave devices, but…

MCV just added enOcean’s energy-harvesting switches and sensors to the collection of devices that integrate with Vera. I think the potential is huge for integrating these kinds of devices (and eliminating batteries or wired deployments).

You would need the USB dongle to add these devices to Vera.

The temperature sensor is located on their circuit board an is limited to 40?C. Thanks for the link, this company could likely make the product but not a standard offer.

Solardell,

One solution is what I ended up doing was writing my own plugin for the Vera the communicates via Ethernet to an Arduino microcontroller. This in turn communicates to temperature probes that utilize the Dallas DS18B20 one-wire temperature sensor. I know it is not Z-wave but it does give you the ability to monitor temperature through my Vera.

I guess the fibaro universal sensor and the fibaro door sensor would be usefull for this too since they allow to connect probes.
