Vera doesn’t create a device for the locks in UI5?
I have paired the lock with Vera following the procedure and finally got the green light for the lock saying that it was paired and Vera confirmed with the green light blinking rapidly.
However when I go to Vera it doesn’t show a lock device? Typically when I pair a device I go to the UI5 and it has automatically created a device for the item. Is this not the case for Locks?
I am running a Vera3 with the latest firmware 1.5.346. The locks are Schlage.

Should show a device. Did you select the [tt]Locks[/tt] or [tt]All[/tt] tab?
It’s not adding the device, here is the message on the top of the UI5…
Add/Remove : Node finished
Removed unknown node Node found. Remove devices now…
The lock acts like it connects and vera3 blinks like it does too, but the UI5 says it does not recognize and removes…What can I do?
I reset the lock - taking out the batteries etc…and re paired to vera - I get the same message…

You are excluding the lock (since Vera reports “Remove devices now…”)
Which procedure are you using for including?
Get Vera and the lock near each other (couple feet), then go Devices → Add devices → Advanced Z-Wave Devices “Add” button
Set it to the defaults, which should be:
“Include”
“One” node
of type “any”
with “low power”
and timeout after “30 seconds”
You should see “Add new devices now…” then do whatever it takes on the Schlage to add it.
Give Vera some time, watching the screen…you should end up with a new lock after a minute or 2.
Ok I have never added a device through the UI5 like that, I have always just pushed the button on the front of the vera3.
