Thought I’d check here before I open a ticket. I’m trying to delete some old pins from my schalge locks. The locks accept NEW pins fine, so i know they’re paired properly. They just don’t seem to be taking the delete. Any ideas?
Using Vera 2 UI4, under the Pin Codes tab, there is a Remove Pin button. If that’s not working, then you should send a ticket to MCV.
Good luck.
Um, ya. I know where the remove button is. Anyone else?
Vera2 UI5. Schlage lever lock. Deleted pin code with no issues. Re-added pin code with no issues. Good thing I re-added, pin 1 is last pin added, not 1st original pin that came with lock as I assumed.
I’d try a different browser as a test, see if it works in Google Chrome or Firefox for example.
After deleting the codes, do the codes still work at the lock? It could be that they are deleting correctly at the lock and it isn’t showing in the UI.
If you’ve already tried these things, then it looks like a support ticket issue.
Browser used: IE8 on Win7 Pro 64bit
I had to run a SAVE after I deleted the code. Tried the lock. Not accepting the just deleted code.
Then I re-added the code and did another save. The code works fine at the lock.
Just to make sure, I just repeated the exercise with a new pin. Created - Saved - Tested , Deleted - Saved - Tested, - re-created - saved - tested.
Since it works for me on a Vera2 under UI5, it may be an issue with UI4 (I never tried it under UI4). Even though others have complained about Ui5, it’s giving me very little trouble. Granted, my setup is relatively simple with only 4 Schlage locks, a Trane Thermostat and about 16 other devices. Mostly GE/Jasco and Intermatic dimmers, switches and modules. No Lua code so far and a few scenes.
No issues accessing locally or remote via IE8, Homebuddy/AUthomation (Android) and RemoteVera (iOS)
maybe that’s part of the problem is the save button never comes up. How do I get UI5?
Hi kristinaw
I have used the Schlage locks for more than two years. Since I use them on rental property I have added and deleted more than 6 dozen PINs without any problem using the current UI4 release. Believe that UI4 currently provides the most stable platform for the Schlage locks. Would suggest unpairing and resetting the lock (i.e., starting over). Sorry!
Another thought, how recently have you done a repair with re-configuration on this lock… What does it show. How clean is your routing to this lock? How close are the neighboring nodes? Is there environmental noise in your area?
Don
Thanks for your suggestions Don. Since the locks are accepting new codes fine (which means the secure channel is working), I would prefer not to have to go through the hassle of re pairing them. I’ll just change all the batteries and try again, if that doesn’t work i’ll open a ticket.
