so here is what I would like to do… (i searched and couldn’t find an answer to this)
Away mode activated using nest thermostats as the trigger (geo-fencing with vera is horrible since i last checked 2-3 months ago) (already working)

once away mode is activated I would like for alexa to play music for the dog (so he doesn’t bark at every little sound) ideally a specific track but at the very least some kind of music…is this even possible?

if this has already been solved please point me in the right directions thanks so much!

Unless there’s been an update I’m unaware of, Alexa can talk to Vera, but Vera can’t command Alexa. At least not without another device sending commands in between. I’d like these options as well, but unlikely we see a simple solution anytime soon.

Not quite the same thing, but you can control and hence play music via Sonos devices and the in turn can be controlled by Alexa.
