Say is no longer working

I noticed yesterday the Say action is no longer working, if I am looking at the sonos controller when the the scene happens i get a error that says "Unable to play Say.66.mp3 - Station not found. I was on trunk 113 when it stopped working, updated to 114 and have the same error. Also happens if I use the say feature in the device itself.

You probably forgot to upload the new silence file ?

I do have the sonos_silence.mp3 , I uploaded it again just to see but it is still not working. It was working great just untill yesterday and every thing else is working still just not the Say.

Thanks for your help

I just tried, it is still working for me.
My fear was that Google closed its api…

Yeah, that was my fear too, Should it always be Say.66.Mp3 ? i seem to remember it being different numbers sometimes.

66 is your Sonos vera device.
The file name looks good.

okay i see that now, i just tried it for my bedroom play3 and i get the same error but with 74 in place of the 66 that was on the play5 .

Not sure what else to do, i reloaded all the files from the trunk, uploaded the silence mp3, rebooted the vera, its doing it on both of my zones, the error that is. the only changes to my system I have done recently was added the smart switch plug in. cant see how that would have affected the sonos plugin. any other suggestions?

Just to give a update I restored to a previous backup and Say is again working.
Thanks for the great plugin and your help.

I just see this thread, I have the same issue ,described in another thread:
That is wierd … I cannot use the say function anymore, after some issues with the securityoption it worked about 2 months ago (see previous posts) , But i just tried it now , and sonos is not talking to me anymore , the sonos interface says “playing say.69.final.mp3” , but no sounds , when I try to play the say.69.mp3 file from my computer with: http://10.0.0.90/Say.68.mp3 on my webbrowser it is playing what I typed…

The only thing what I have done is , update my vera to the new beta version … is this the issue? , is it fixable?

Thanks, Cor
@ SteveZ: you went back to a previous backup … you mean a complete backup from vera?
I don’t have a backup available and also don’t want to loose all the things I have done in the meanwhile…

Any options how to get the TTS back?

Cor

Yes I went with a full backup from about a week before the problem happened, vera does a backup everyday so you should have one. but yes it did suck loosing the things i had lost.

but before you do that have you reloaded all the files? also make sure the secure my vera is checked no under unit settings, I think that might have been part of my problem but i don’t know for sure.

@ SteveZ: Ah , never had to use a backup before, will look into that. not sure if I want to do that , since than I made quite some scenes…:-s

In the thread I opened someone said something about silence.mp3, although I have seen it pass by a couple of times I didn’t read it since it was working, maybe it has something to do with that now…

The secure vera is unchecked …

Thanks for your answer,
Cor
