RFXmitter for X10

Do you think it would be possible to add functionality of the RFXmitter http://www.rfxcom.com/transmitters.htm, this way lots of the older X10 devices could be used in Vera.

The RFXmitter is available in USB and LAN interface and supports the following formats:

433.92MHz transmitter:

Can transmit signals at 433.92MHz for:
X10 lighting,
X10 security,
Digimax RTS10,
KlikAanKlikUit,
Chacon,
ELRO AB600,
DomiaLite,
ByeByeStandBy,
NEXA,
Proove,
Intertechno,
Düwi,
Harrison electrical curtain,
HomeEasy UK (not EU).

Yes, it’s possible to do a Luup plugin which supports it.

the wgl w800 series can get connected to a usb- serial port adapter.

and for someone who could code a plug in- this page links to the protocol:

http://www.wgldesigns.com/protocols/w800rf32_protocol.txt

a bit over my head for sure- but maybe someone else is more inclined.

I think that besides a Luup Plugin Gallery, we also need a wiki page listing all these documented protocols for yet-unsupported hardware.

I am working on a gateway device for rfxcom devices.

will post more info when it is available.
