I have 3 cats and a very small dog. I’d like to know which room(s) they are in while I’m away from home. I have cameras but they are usually hiding out of view under furniture.
Is there some sort of RFID or BLE sensor that would connect via wifi or Z-wave that would poll for the ID tag attached to pet collar to report the closest or most recent sensor where the pet is?
I’m thinking of using either these 2.4ghz active RFID tags http://www.tabcat.com or these BLE tags https://www.xyfindit.com
Any other ideas?
