Retrofit lock portion into existing lock?

I would like to replace only the small circular section of the deadbolt with a zwave compatible deadbolt lock. I’ve only been able to find large front door locks with a keypad and I don’t want all that. Is there something out there that would work for my application?

I would try to get a deadbolt only Z-wave lock like Weiser Kevo Bluetooth Deadbolt Lock (GED1500). But that model does not support Z-wave. Search for Z-wave deadbolts. Most comes with a number pad on the front. If you don’t want that, you may be able to find a modification through the manufacture.

Just an idea I guess.

Check out the new DanaLock. They claim it can work with most existing deadbolts.

Well, you definitely can’t you the Schlage motorized deadbolts (Camelot, Century). I have been trying to get it to work for the last week and it seems that the front panel is required otherwise it responds that the node is busy and doesn’t do anything.
