Repeaters are "off" after a "repair"???

I’ve a VeraLite & I’ve had a couple of problematic connections down to a couple of zwave switches in the backyard. I put some zwave repeaters in to try to assist. Even with the repeaters I note that sometimes the switches in the backyard don’t/won’t respond (i.e. even through they had been working). I’ve been assuming at this point I have to do an Advanced/Setup/ZwaveSettings/Repair/Go to clear the issue.

Question: After I do a “repair” I note the repeaters seem to be switched OFF, even if they switch ON prior to the repair? Is this normal? Is one supposed to manually turn them on after this, but if so does this potentially mean the “repair” was completed with them out of the network?

Notes:

Repeaters don’t actually have a switch in them even though Vera shows them as one. The state of the switch on the GUI makes no difference. If you turn in on, Vera will normally turn it off on the next successful poll. The fact that it turned off is probably a good sign.
